What is Knit + Crochet U?
KCU students learn to knit (or crochet) a sweater from start to finish.
Each semester we focus on a new project:
Fall 2024: The Verna Pullover (crochet course)
Spring 2025: The Danny Cardigan (knit course)

We run the live lessons online using Zoom.

What are the prerequisite skills?
Crochet: chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet
Knitting: cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, bind off
What materials do I need?
Pay in full before Sept. 15, 2024 and receive a $75 yarn credit!
The Verna Pullover
- DK weight yarn (approximately 1000-1500 yards)
- Crochet hook, size 5.5 mm (I)
The Danny Cardigan
- Aran weight yarn (approximately 1000-1500 yards)
- Size 8 knitting needles
- A tapestry needle
- Scissors
How long does the course take?
The course is self-paced, so you can complete it at your convenience.
The average completion time is 6-8 weeks.
How much does the course cost?
The course costs $595. You can also choose a 6-month or 12-month payment plan.
