Your knitting subscription box questions, answered!

I'll admit to being wildly curious about OPSBs (Other People's Subscription Boxes.) What's included? How are they packaged?

Last year for Christmas, Mom gave me a sock knitting kit from Knit Picks. It was OK, but definitely had that packed-in-a-warehouse feel. 

At The Spinning Hand, we want you to feel special and beloved when you open your box. Jess and I plan personal touches that make each month's project completely unique. You'll never feel that the package has arrived from a robot in a faraway factory.

There are 3 steps to enjoying your subscription from The Spinning Hand:

1. Choose whether you'd like a standard or deluxe subscription.

The main difference between standard and deluxe? With the Deluxe version, you'll receive knitting needles in the correct size for each project. 

We also offer yarn winding services for our Deluxe members upon request.

The needles are name-brand such as Lykke, addi, Knitter's Pride, and Clover.

2. Pick your plan - monthly or prepaid

Most new subscribers choose the monthly subscription. You'll be charged the first day and every 30 days afterward until you decide to pause or cancel.

This is a great way to try a subscription box without a long-term commitment.

In order to save money on the cost of each box, other customers decide the pre-pay option. We currently offer 3- and 6-month plans.

You can still skip a month at any time with a pre-paid plan.
